God did not bless me with a talent for writing. I barely passed my college English. After losing a son by suicide, I asked God to give me something to do that would bless Him. A few days after that prayer, I woke up with poems in my head. I sat down at my computer and began to write them down. Thus far I have published three little books of poetry that I give away as a ministry for my Lord. God has blessed those little books in a might way. So many people have called, written and told me in person of the blessings they have received from reading my thoughts. God certainly has a sense of humor, when he can have one of his children like me to write poetry because I do not like poetry.

The sharing of my grief and the opportunity to write it in the form of prose was therapy for me. All my feelings came pouring out. Many people who have lost a child or a loved one have told me how much they enjoyed reading about my pain and then knowing that they were not alone in their own pain.
