Thank You Mother

Wednesday, May 5th, 2010

Mother you are thought of each and every day

I cannot forget for a moment when I pray

To thank my God for what you say

Thank You Mother

When I think of my blessings

The first one is you

Who loved me and taught me the right thing to do

Thank You Mother

If there was ever a role model for mothers

It just has to be you

Who wasn’t afraid to discipline me

It was just the thing to do

Thank You Mother

You always had a compliment when I tried to do my best

It was not always perfect but you loved me no less

Thank you Mother

I want to thank the Lord for placing me in your life

Your teachings took, now I have a great life

Thank You Mother

Happy Mothers Day

Thank You For Listening To My Prayers

Monday, March 16th, 2009
Thank you, God ...
For guiding my path through the valley,

Where you held my hand ...
The mountain tops that You

Tugged on me to climb ...
My parents that were given to me

By Your divine order ...
For my children that You sent

To me in Your timing.
I praise You ...
For my salvation.
The mind that you gave me

To understand the Old Rugged Cross.
For Your presence in my life, today.
Thank you, Lord ...

For your patience with a sinner such as I.
The love that You have shown

Through the wrong paths that I chose.
The many friends that You

Sent into my life to love.
Thank you ...
For the guidance You

Will give me tomorrow.
For the forgiveness that You

Have given me, today.
Continue to guide

My path, dear Lord ...
The path that seems

So uncertain to me.
You know where I am going

And where I have been.
Thank you for listening
To my prayers.

God I Want A Child

Monday, March 16th, 2009

This was my plea for almost four years
There were much heartache and many a tear

 After much fighting within myself
I gave the matter to God and He isn’t deaf

He heard my prayers when I committed to Him
Miraculously He gave me my first son he was adopted ,you see

Then six months later I became very ill
To the doctor I went and he said I would have a baby

Indeed I did and this was my Chad
I was so happy and my family was glad

Thank you Lord for these blessings I have
Four years later I became sick again

Sure enough I was being blessed with three
A girl I desired and knew it would be

Shay came into this world and I am thankful he was a boy.
Don’t give up if you want a baby God maybe saying a little later

A Grandmother’s Prayer

Saturday, March 14th, 2009
Thank you Father for the children that look up to me

They are so small and innocent always so care free
The desire of my heart is for them to know and love you

To realize that you knew each one before they were born
You have a purpose for each tiny life

May they find You early on to help with the strife
I cannot imagine what temptations they will face

As I look at what is in the world today

No one to look up to and no safe place to play
My Father I know that you love them more than I

So please take care of them where I will not cry
Bless them dear God and keep them from harm

May they serve You daily
Keep your loving arms around them
Allow each one to feel your love so warm

You Are Special

Saturday, March 14th, 2009

My dear friend do you know how special you are
God in his wisdom checked out his universe
He saw that something special was missing here

That is when he knew that the world would be
A more beautiful place if you were in it

It did not take him long to make a big decision
Who would he give you to on this wonderful day

Well there was a mother and daddy who decided to pray
For a child that they needed to make there family complete

He knew this family and thought that you were perfect
To place in that home where he knew you belonged
No one else would make it so complete

As this special person was his for them to greet
He made you more special than you can ever know
You are beautiful inside and out as you continue to grow

Not just in a physical form but spiritually as well
You are placed on this earth to do his perfect will

I am so thankful you are in my family
It is more special because of you

He Is Saved

Friday, March 13th, 2009

A young man called about a week ago.
He lives far away in another state,
concerned that his dad was not saved.
This one ask if I would pray for this one he loved.
Today I went to visit this ninety-four year old.
Not a doubt in my mind that he knows our Lord.
We talked about tomorrow which is God’s secret alone.
Then we talked about heaven and where we will go.
He talked about Him and that he believed.
A tear came into my eye, I was so relieved.
To this young man I can now make a call,
let him know there is no reason to worry at all.
His dad doesn’t know theology but that is ok,
He knows our Lord Jesus and that made my day.

God doesn’t ask of us to be great theologians

He asked us to ask forgiveness of our sins

To ask Him to come into our life and to be
Lord  of our life-He makes it easy for us

To become a Christian and  He will give us Life

Fellowship

Friday, March 13th, 2009

My best friends in the whole wide world

Are the ladies in my Sunday School class

The ones in my church that I hold so dear

They are in my heart and I pray for them each day

Many times we often go play

We have fun together and hold each others hand,

When there is a crises or we are going through pain

Everyone needs a family to look out for them

The best one we have is our church family

If you are a Christian and I am too

Then you are in my family and I am kin to you

God says we are brothers and sisters in Him

Can’t get better than that

Just go to a church where his word is taught

Don’t be fooled, look out for that

Find a Christ-centered church and be a part of it

You will not be sorry and have lots of fellowship.

A Lady

Friday, March 13th, 2009

Not ever woman we see, is considered a lady
I know one and her name is Katie
She married a preacher many years ago
There was always work for her to do
In the church, at home or school she would go
Doing her job and doing it well
Always proper and a wonderful hostess to all
Everyone was welcomed in her home, I recall
I often felt people took advantage
She knew that she could manage
To feed one more that her honey brought in
With her sweet smile and a welcoming grin
Katie would say come to the kitchen or in the den
What has happened to ladies today
When we don’t have time to even say hello in a nice way
A tribute to Katie this day
For the lady she is and will always be.

You are my Hero

Friday, March 13th, 2009

My guy was a Marine and I was so proud.

One day, he came home to say

‘To Vietnam I am to go’.  I cried out loud,

Looking at my one year old little boy.

In two months, I gave birth to a second son.

My hero was flying his airplane across the sky

When our son was born.  I just had to cry.

His dad would not see him for another year.

He came home to me and two little boys,

Holding his head down because,

Back then, he did not feel proud.

He was not supported for all that he did.

So many were against that war.

Some shouted and screamed that he should not be there,

Three years later, he came home to say

‘I will go back to Vietnam’.

Again, my heart broke for the sadness and fear.

I thought ‘another year I must endure’.

Seven months and I was to give birth to our third son.

Again, in the maternity ward, I felt so alone.

My hero came home and I was so proud.

Yet, no one clapped as he got off the plane.

No one said, “Thank you, Marine, for your sacrifice.”

He did not ask to go and fight but he did proudly

He was not there for the birth of either son.

He was fighting a war for them to be free.

He is my hero, you see.

GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS
