My dear Father have I made a difference for you?

Oh how I pray that I have and will continue to do so.

My desire is to find my purpose that you place me here to do.

Have I made a difference?

In some small way I often pray

That you will send someone my way

Where I can witness for you dear Lord.

There is your bird that is sitting on the wind sill to let me know you are so real.

I look out at the sunshine you gave me today

My desire is to bring that light into someone’s life, I pray.

If only I could tell someone of your love today.

Have I made a difference/

Lead me to some soul who needs you

I would walk a mile to let them know your love.

Just lead me to that person who is so distraught.

Their heart is breaking and needs you to mend that heart.

Father help me to make a difference

A young man called about a week ago.
He lives far away in another state,
concerned that his dad was not saved.
This one ask if I would pray for this one he loved.
Today I went to visit this ninety-four year old.
Not a doubt in my mind that he knows our Lord.
We talked about tomorrow which is God’s secret alone.
Then we talked about heaven and where we will go.
He talked about Him and that he believed.
A tear came into my eye, I was so relieved.
To this young man I can now make a call,
let him know there is no reason to worry at all.
His dad doesn’t know theology but that is ok,
He knows our Lord Jesus and that made my day.

God doesn’t ask of us to be great theologians

He asked us to ask forgiveness of our sins

To ask Him to come into our life and to be
Lord  of our life-He makes it easy for us

To become a Christian and  He will give us Life

God’s word is more powerful than a two edged sword

People are looking and searching for something to make them happy

It is in God’s word if you would only look

Just start with any book and you will see

There is power in His word

I just read the book of Esther

God used a young Jewish girl for His service

Proverbs is fun to read, most any verse will speak to you

Psalms has comforted me in many down times

It shows me I will not walk through a valley alone

When you are tired or all alone, get into the word

You will get refreshed and feel strong

We don’t have to go through life all alone

It beats sitting in the heat or playing in the street

Just be still and know that He is Lord!!

Today as I awoke I knew that I needed to pray

To ask the Lord Jesus what would He have me to say

To the ones that He sends my way

He gave me this day

He said, you should call the lady across the street

She is alone and  feels defeat

Take a smile to the man that feels so beat

He has no friends or family that care

Help him this day as you go and share

He gave me this day

Often we plan our days ahead

He said, this is the day I made

Rejoice and be glad in it

Get up and go, don’t fret and sit

He gave me this day

Do what you can for our savior today

We are His hands, His feet and His mouth

We must do all that we can to share as we go about

He gave me this day

I have this day, not tomorrow to dread

Do what I can with the gospel to spread

Some are sick, defeated and worn

He gave me this day

God gave me this day to lean on Him

To study His word, to pray and to listen

He is speaking and I must heed
To His call today because someone is in need

He gave me this day

This morning as I was trying to train my puppy

She ran away and would not come as I called

I got a paper and swatted her once to come

As I sweated and was totally out of breath

I simply said, Oh Lord what am I to do?

My cute little puppy then sat on the porch

She was obedient and I gave her a treat

Since I have never trained a puppy

I was sad, distraught and beat

I came into the house and the phone rang

The lady said, “I am returning your call”

I had not made a call and told her so

I said, who are you ?”Ellen the dog trainer’

Was the reply

She was so kind and sweet as we talked

I live far away from you but I will answer

Your questions anytime you would like

I took her phone number and sat in awe

With tears flowing down knowing God is in control

Of every detail of my life, even my puppy,He knows

Called my husband and son to share that call

They were not surprised, it was God after all

This prose is true as I sit here and share

That our God takes care of every need we bare

He cares about my puppy and every problem I have

What makes me happy, I ask myself,
Could it be money? Maybe success?
Oh no dear Sarah, it is Christ and His love,
The peace and contentment that comes from above.
He loves me when I am good and even when I am bad.
Just ask my husband, I sometimes make him sad.
I am not happy and cannot be glad, with my attitude when I pout
When I am serving my God and doing His will, I am so happy that I could shout
It is not about me or whatever I do, God cares about me and I care about you.
God is my Strength when I am weak;
He is my courage when I cannot speak
When He sends me to do His will this day
It makes me so happy to serve Him this way.

How great is He, that died on an old tree,

Made into a cross, for the likes of you and me

He was spit on and cursed at but never did HE fight back,

Certainly an example for you and for me

His wonderful words was ‘Father forgive them’

Mary, his wonderful mother, was there to see

How cruel her child was treated

What pain she endured to see the one, she loved so completely,

Blood being shed and nailed to a cross

My heart sinks in despair as I think of Him there,

Dying for you and for me

What have we given to thee?

He asked so little of us for Him, do we care

As we go about the beautiful day He has given,

We often never think of the price He paid

For you and me to keep on living

How great is this Jesus to you and me?

He loves me and he came for me

He set an example for only me

He died for me, just me

He rose again for me

He went to Heaven for me

He is coming again for me

He loves me and shows me

He walks with me and he talks to me

He tells me I am special to  him

He sends  his angel to look after me

He loves me and proves that each day

He listens to me as I pray

He loves me and that is enough for me

He loves me just the way that I am

Father will you hold my hand today
I am frightened and do not want to stray

There is a problem that is to big for me
Would you hold my hand that others can see

That my fears are fading and I am doing just fine
If my light shines today through this problem of mine

You need to hold my hand as I kneel here to pray
The touch that I feel in my heart is you dear Lord
I know because the problem does not seem big anymore

Father I love you and feel so secure
When you are beside me to help me endure
The pain of the problems that come into my life

Hold my hand tightly as I go to bed tonight
My body relaxed and my eyes are closed
It is you that I turn to and ask for you
To hold my hand once more!!

God is so gracious and so good

To forgive us for our sins.
It doesn’t matter where we are going

Or where we have been.

He is there, with His hands

Open, to take us back in.
It isn’t God that walks away.

It is His children who go astray.
 

His grace is amazing

To a sinner, such as I.
Forgiveness He gives

If only we try.

We must ask and then turn away

From whatever makes us stray.

He loves us unconditionally

And asks us to do the same.

Often, we hold on to things

That keep us away,
When we can’t handle

Our problems another day.

Just bow your head or get on your knees

And, to Him, plead, “Forgive me,

Father, for I have sinned.”
Through His amazing grace,

You’ll be whole again.
